Eric says: Scooter is a very talented guy. It would be scary to see what he could do if he had a normal work schedule. His mental toughness is his key to success.

Athlete Of The Month Profile
  1. Name – Scott “Scooter” Forster   
  2. How long have you been training for and racing in triathlon? - Started in 1999, IM FLA that year was the first race with Coach Hodska, can’t believe that was almost 8 years ago, it’s been a great ride.
  3. What is your favorite aspect of the sport? – All the technical aspects of the sport along with the fact that it is not always the fittest athlete who performs the best.
  4. What do you consider your biggest athletic achievement? – The fact that I still can be competitive given my lifestyle and that I still do IM’s despite the ups and downs that come your way. 
  5. What are your big goals? – Kona ’08, I will be there. 
  6. What’s your favorite meal? – A good brick oven cheese pizza and a nice hearty microbrew.
  7. What’s your favorite movie? – Inspirational would have to be Rocky III, if that doesn’t get you motivated I don’t think you have a heartbeat.  Non-sport related would have to be Good Will Hunting.
  8. Any other hobbies? – Lots of passions but time does just not allow for much right now.  I love to learn and discover new things.
  9. Where is the best place you have visited? – Atlantis with my wife before we started our family.
  10. If you could visit one place this year, where would it be? – Australia has been on my list.
  11. What’s your favorite workout? – Long climbs on the bike and mile repeats on the track.
  12. Who’s your inspiration? – My wife, talk about balance, motivating, compassionate and fun.  I would not do what I do or have what I have without her.           
  13. If you could train with one person for a day, who would it be? – Kendra Holme riding the hills around her home town in Canada (she passed away 2 years ago from ALL)
  14. What three things would you bring with you if you were to be dropped on a deserted Island (not counting family)? – Satellite phone, air-conditioning and a boat.
  15. Any other words of wisdom? Learn to focus on the things in life that really matter and don’t waste any energy or time worrying about things that “may” happen, cut out the dead wood and to be passionate about something you love.
